  • At last, hit the Finish button. If the notification pops up again, then restart your computer and check again whether the issue gets resolved or not. 

 

Method 2: Disable Scan to PC Activation App

Another reason for the occurrence of the issue is a module installed on your system known as ScantoPCActivationApp. It is responsible for managing the scan job for the computer. You can fix the scan to a computer that is no longer activated by disabling the Scan to PC activation app. Here are the steps for it:

  • Firstly, press Windows and R keys at the same time and then enter “taskmgr” in the dialogue box that appears on the screen.

  • After that, open the task manager and go to the Startup tab. Thereafter, choose ScantoPCActivationApp. 

  • Hit on the Disable button. 

  • At last, restart your computer and check if the issue gets resolved or not. 

 

Method 3: Power Cycle the Entire System 

The next step you need to perform is power cycle the entire system, including the printer and computer. There may be the possibility that you face this issue due to incorrect configuration. Here are the steps to power cycle your system to cut down the power:

  • Switch off your computer using proper shutdown. Do the same process with your printer.
